Kinjirushi are also leaders in the business of wasabi, having implemented contract cultivation in Japan. In 1984, Kinjirushi entered into the global market with the establishment of a Los Angeles branch, contributing to the raised awareness of traditional Japanese cuisine. Currently there are also sales offices in New York, London, and Frankfurt/Main. Kinjirushi, in cooperation with several universities, has been actively conducting research into diverse uses for wasabi and has discovered a number of new active components.
