SHOWA ELECTRIC designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes steel plate processing equipment (slitter/rotary shir lines), paper/film processing equipment (coater/laminator lines), high precision/high speed cutting systems for cardboard/printed-board foundations, and electric control systems for various materials and processing technologies.
We provide cost-effective flexible systems under short delivery time through the development of motor drive products (Thyristor Leonard control, transistor inverter, DC/AC servo system) and original high-precision/high-function packaging programs for various line control systems.

SHOWA ELECTRIC has a large market share of electric control systems for slitting lines and rotary shir lines, maintaining the top domestic market share.
For rotary shir electric control systems, we are developing new products to meet further customer requirements, as well as improving existing systems. With the demand increase in rotary shir lines for cutting thick boards, SHOWA ELECTRIC has developed special PM motors. We have realized energy conservation, low-inertia, and improvement of cutting accuracy through the development of lineups from 37 kW to 220 kW.
We have been promoting product development for the tire testing machine industry and have been manufacturing distribution analysis devices for tire contact pressure using image processing and abrasion analyzing devices for small areas on the contact surface, as well as manufacturing electric products for drum tire testing and measurement control devices produced over an extensive period time.
